Sorry pre-registration is now closed!

The Cycle Caledon Challenge (CCC) is a road bike tour for the cycling enthusiast. Starting and ending at the Caledon Ski Club West Lodge situated on the Niagara Escarpment, tour routes of 40 kms, 60 kms, 100 kms (metric century), and 160 kms (100 miler) will challenge cyclists with the rolling terrain of the Hills and Headwaters of the region.

New routes for 2014:

The 40 km loop travels south on Winston Churchill Boulevard to Olde Base Line Road and passes through the village of Cheltenham. From there the route continues south to the rural outskirts of Brampton before return through the village of Inglewood where you will find the first remote water stop. Continuing on to the Forks of the Credit Road you will feel the cooling effects of riding alongside the river. You'll appreciate it as you take on a short switch back climb to bring you back to complete the first loop.

The first 60 km loop is the second leg of the 100 & 160 km distance. This loop starts with a descent to the base of the Caledon Ski Hill then slowly ascends back up to the historic village of Alton. From Alton, the route travels north to the highest point on the tour at the border of Orangeville along Highpoint Side Road. Next you will pass through Caledon Village and start the long rolling descent on Heart Lake Road and Olde Base Line Road to catch the second remote water stop for a brief rest before starting the long gradual climb up Mississauga Road back to the Ski Club.

The second 60 km loop is the last leg of the 160 km distance. You return back down hill on Mississauga Road to the flat lands just beyond the escarpment turning right onto Old School Road back towards Winston Churchill. At the village of Terra Cotta, you will continue along Winston Churchill to the third remote water stop at Bush Street. The water stop is halfway through the loop and you can decide here to end your ride early and return to the start or cap off the 100 miler by continuing on to complete the loop north over the final series of rollers.
